- Card legality: In order to be Basic legal a card must have been printed in one of the following sets (and has its set symbol). If it was, you may play any printing of that card in your deck or sideboard.

Sealed League is an continuously ongoing MTG format at Critical Hit Games! Entry into the Sealed League is the one-time purchase of the six most recent Standard boosters that are used for limited play (draft or play boosters). Players must take this card pool and build a 40+ card deck (the rest of the cards serve as a Sideboard). Each player also receives a collection box for their card pool which must be kept at the store.
Players get a match record slip when they join, and can challenge one another at any time during open hours on the designated Sealed League day (currently Tuesdays). Each time a player wins a match, their defeated opponent signs their match slip. Players can't play the same opponent more than once a day that would count for a signature. As a player collects signatures, they earn progressively more promo prizes*.
3 signatures– One random promo prize
7 signatures – Two random promo prizes
12 signatures – Three random promo prizes
18 signatures – Four random promo prizes
25 signatures – Five random promo prizes
*Promo prizes include past and current promo cards and accessories like secret lair cards, box toppers, promo pack cards, older event promos, life counters, dice, and more!
Once a player completes their match record slip, they start a new one. Players can also choose to re-buy up to one pack each week. This pack replaces all the cards of the same set in that player’s card pool. Each new standard set release pushes out the oldest set. Players will need to purchase one booster of the new set to replace the oldest set in their card pool. All players can check into the event each week with their Wizards account. Players that do get a free signature.
Current Sealed League lineup:
- Each player receives two boosters packs, removes any ad, token, or basic land cards, then shuffles the rest together to form their decks.
- A separate deck consisting only of five of each basic land is shuffled and placed between both players at the start of each game.
- To begin the game, place the top five cards of the basic land deck face-up between both players, then each player draws an opening hand of five cards. Players are allowed one free mulligan.
- During each player's Draw Step, the turn player MUST add one of the face-up basic lands between both players to their hand. This is performed after the normal draw, but even during the first turn of the game where the normal draw is skipped. If the last face-up basic land is taken, the next five basic lands are placed face-up from the deck.
- Matches are best-of-one-game with 20 life.
